It's A PLEASURE to have you here. I'm excited about the potential opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact together.
Movement, psychology, human behaviour, and expression inclusive of dance and acting have been integral to my life since childhood, so it was only natural that performance and the study of psychology would become prominent on my life path.
The psychology teachings and acting education I've received, both deeply rooted in psychological principles, have equipped me with invaluable insights into character analysis, decoding behaviour, and understanding body language. Additionally, I've gained a profound understanding of "body movement" and “voice work” theory, and their critical connection to expression.
While I cherish the art of performance, life's twists and turns placed healing at the forefront of my journey. Through personal trials, I've developed a deep passion for supporting others.
During my studies I actively pursued diverse life and career experiences, recognising their importance in broadening my perspective.
With extensive experience spanning across the education, healthcare, law, and business sectors including roles as a Teaching Assistant in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Comprehensive schools in London, and hands-on involvement in patient care within various healthcare settings such as mental health hospitals, general hospitals, and care homes, I have deepened my compassion and emotional maturity. Assisting in these capacities has been instrumental in my personal and professional development.
Furthermore, my time as a legal secretary in the bustling legal hub of London's historic Westminster specialising in high-profile criminal law has enriched my understanding of human dynamics. Witnessing the complexities of the legal system and delving into the personal narratives underlying each case has fueled my curiosity to uncover the motivations behind destructive behaviours and explore preventive measures.
My career spanned roles as a business development manager, advertising consultant, and marketing manager in Manchester alongside academic business studies each providing me with valuable insights into business principles, perfectly aligning with the creation of this initiative.
This comprehensive journey has exposed me to the breadth of human experience, from offering end-of-life care to nurturing newborns, and every moment in between. These diverse experiences have immersed me deeply in the richness of human existence.
My continued thirst for knowledge and culture led me to explore various corners of the globe. I immersed myself in sacred teachings of body movement, yoga and its philosophy in India, studied acting methods in America grounded in psychology and experimentation of impulsive and intuitive movement, and embraced the vibrant cultural scenes of Europe. Closer to home in the UK, I delved into holistic approaches to psychology and psychotherapy-based therapy.
Drawing on these multifaceted experiences and driven by a passion to make meaningful contributions to a healthier society - Human Act Academy’s “Body Movement Method™” was created.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY dearest LATE BROTHER JOHN - Aged 37
John’s Call…
10.09.1980 - 04. 07. 2018
At the heart of Human Act Academy® is the drive to a profound 'call to action' for mental health awareness. The poignant story of my late brother, John, vividly illustrates the hurdles individuals confront amid societal judgments and personal struggles, often leading them down destructive paths. Wrestling with feelings of inadequacy and societal pressures, John's tragic fate serves as a stark reminder of the critical need for robust mental health support.
From our own experiences with mental health support, John and I have keenly felt the lack of recognition and support during our formative years.
The absence of support often leads to individuals being labelled and cast out, perpetuating feelings of being different, unworthy and being misunderstood, which can start to form a belief that healthy connections and a fulfilled life, isn’t available to us.
Issues may go unnoticed without proper recognition, exacerbating feelings of inadequacy, overwhelm, and discouragement. Unfortunately, the lack of education in spotting these issues early enough, coupled with insufficient resources and funding, further compounds the problem.
Some individuals may lack awareness, resulting in a loss of compassion. They may only perceive the behaviour without understanding its underlying causes. This could indicate a potential lack of comprehension of the deeper meanings or a deficit in education regarding behavioural principles.
Both John and I worked passionately together, brainstorming ways to overcome these detrimental challenges. We were determined to work creatively and design intervention and prevention practices to support our youth. Our goal was to reach out to young people, offering them a chance to avoid the disruptive world that could await them if left unsupported.
Even amidst his own suffering, John had a heart of empathy and a deep passion for taking action to help our youth. He was studying to become a counsellor leading up to his death.
Witnessing these struggles firsthand, particularly in my beloved brother John, who tragically lost his life due to these very shortcomings, underscores the severity of the issue.
However, it is extremely encouraging to see how much progress we have made many years later, with growing awareness campaigns and increased funding provided to schools for intervention and prevention support in aid of youth well-being.
While progress is evident, there is still much ground to cover. Had interventions been prevalent in John’s early years, they could have significantly impacted his life. Therefore, we must remain curious, educate ourselves on how to spot certain nuances and know what to do when we do.
In light of John's bravery and resilience, his battle against mental health challenges was ultimately lost due to entrenched social prejudices, insufficient resources, low awareness, and prolonged waiting times for assistance.
Sadly, many factors contributed to John’s death, and one significant issue was the lack of compassion, human decency, and respect he experienced from a doctor while he was in the hospital after having a serious seizure. This experience crushed him and amplified his existing negative narrative.
Despite John being completely sober and having made positive plans for himself, this incident was enough to trigger a relapse, ultimately leading to his death. I am not pointing blame here, as the doctor may have never been in John’s shoes, nor is anyone close to him, so they may lack the education surrounding mental health and its lasting effects.
This highlights the need for initiatives like Human Act Academy’s Body Movement Method, as it shifts mind and body, encouraging curiosity, deepening perceptions, empathy, and compassion. Such initiatives can foster a cohesive and supported society and help prevent such incidents from happening again.
I strongly believe that implementing holistic therapies in schools, such as expressive body movement practices, emotion regulation, and reframing therapy, equips youths with crucial life skills that can literally be the difference between a life well-lived or a life of pain and suffering.
Reframing allows students to shift perspectives, interrupting ruminations and unhealthy repetitions that can perpetuate harmful patterns throughout their lifetimes.
By offering these tools, we empower youths to confidently confront and overcome challenges, encouraging resilience and preventing a life taken too soon.
I am dedicated to continuing Mine and john’s mission to prevent such tragedies in the future."
In the wake of this - Human Act Academy Ltd® was born.
